Things to do with your Pet in Bend
When it comes to man's best friend, there's no better place than Bend for your furry loved one. This well-known city has one of the highest per capita dog populations in the world, with 49% of residents owning a pooch; it was even named "DogTown USA" in 2012 by Dog Fancy magazine.

So, of course, when it comes to this pet-friendly city, the opportunities are endless for you and Fido, especially when you make your reservation at the pet friendly, TownePlace Suites. In fact, you can start off your dog-gone good vacation with an on- or off-leash walk on the Bend Urban Trails. Winding along the river, these scenic vistas offer a vast expanse of greenery for your pooch to run and play in (and just as well, cool off in, too!).

Next stop: Beer Town USA. While your pup can sip on his own six-pack of non-alcoholic DAWG GROG, you can saddle up with your own cold one at one of the many pet-friendly breweries in town. 10 Barrel, Cascade Lakes Brewing Co., and GoodLige Brewing, to name a few, offer areas for you both to sit down and relax in; Crus Fermentation Project even has an off-leash dog park adjacent to its patio.

There are also plenty of winter activities to do as well (this is Bend, after all). Hit up one of the dog-friendly cross country ski and snowshoe trails, or let your pooch frolic at will along the 2.5-mile stretch of dirt road up to Tumalo Falls. The unplowed snow will keep his tail wagging and you happy. Plus, there are always the various pet-welcoming events throughout Bend, including the annual Bend Pet Parade and the wiener dog race.
