Take the kids on a Halloween adventure at the Smith Rock Ranch. Pick pumpkins, enjoy horse drawn wagon and pony rides, try out a pumpkin cannon, see the petting zoo animals, play a game of barnyard golf, and climb aboard the zoo train. Make sure to take a trip through the Corn Maize to explore and try to make it through without getting “lost.” Open from September 28th-October 31st. Hours: Friday, noon-7pm, Saturday, 10am-7pm and Sunday, 10am-6pm. Admission is $7.50 ages 12+, $5.50 ages 6-11, kids 5 and under free. All activities require additional tickets.

Be sure to visit C.E. Lovejoy’s Halloween Carnival, where kids of all ages will enjoy fun spooky activities like a haunted hay maze, a costume contest, apple bobbing, pony rides, and lots of tasty Halloween treats. The carnival is open on Sunday, October 28th from 11am-5pm. Costume contest judging begins at 3pm.

Get your thrills and chills at the annual Halloween Cyclocross Crusade this October 25th-26th. Watch or take part with more than 1,000 cyclocross costumed racers competing for points during two days of exciting racing events on the National Championship course at the Deschutes Brewery. Kids under 12 can get into the action too at non-competitive group bike races. After the races, head over to the beer garden where you’ll enjoy live music, food, and great brews.
