In its third year, this annual celebration includes a number of family-friendly activities, along with intense competition for amateur and seasoned cyclists. The fun begins Saturday, October 31st at 8 a.m., when the Halloween Cross Crusade races kick off in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery. Witness a unique spectacle as over 1,000 cyclocross racers compete for Cross Crusade points, while donning creative Halloween costumes. From 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests will be treated to the 4th Annual Clydesdale Championship of the Universe, during which amateur gladiators will square off in the ring of battle. The Deschutes Brewery Warehouse Bash begins at 8 p.m. with post-apocalyptic-themed appetizers and beer inspired cocktails. The party will also feature live music and stage performances from Global Ruckus, Chicago Afrobeat Project, Prom Jim, DJ Professor Stone and Bass Ghost. On Sunday, the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery will play host to kiddie races, which will include youth competitions, featuring decorated bikes. Children will be divided into categories based on age and skill level with easy courses prepared for young riders using training wheels.
