The bright green backdrop of the Pacific Northwest is a fitting host for Earth Day celebrations, and in Bend you’ll find a fun, family-friendly Earth Day Parade, followed by an Earth Day Fair. The festivities take place the weekend before Earth Day on Saturday, April 19 in downtown Bend, in and around the environmental center. The parade procession assembles at 10:30AM on Louisiana Avenue by McMenamin’s, and will roll through downtown Bend starting at 11:00AM. Then the Earth Day Fair kicks off and continues until 3PM with live music, kid’s activities, local food and more. This Earth Day celebration is free and everyone is welcome to join in the parade - just dress as your favorite animal species in a creative, colorful costume. Highlights of the 25th Annual Earth Day Fair include:
Parade of "animals" (humans only in costumes only; no pets allowed)
Local and regional food
Activities and games for children
...and much more!
