Celebrate America's independence by enjoying some family fun at the Bend Pet Parade. One of the most enduring 4th of July events in Bend, the Pet Parade has been a community tradition since 1930.
Come dressed in costume with your favorite pet or stuffed animal on floats, bikes, trikes or pulled wagons. No registration is necessary and children of all ages are invited to join the parade. All participants will receive a Popsicle and keepsake, along with a chance to share the spotlight with their fuzzy playmates.
The parade lineup and decorating party starts at 9:30 a.m. at 520 NW Wall Street in front of the Bend Lapine School Dist. Admin Building. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. and will move through downtown Bend along a designated route. All pets are required to be leashed, and rabbits, cats and aggressive dogs are not allowed. Parking is available on Lava Street in the parking garage. Expect downtown road closures from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
The perfect way to start your July 4th festivities, the Pet Parade is a great lead-up to the Old Fashioned July 4th Festival in Drake Park, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be sure to book your room at the pet friendly, TownePlace Suites so the whole family can enjoy this unique 4th of July event!
